Am I still a lady? :)
H&M tweed jacket (here); LOFT tank top (here); t.cec leather shorts (here); Alexander McQueen scarf (here); Anna Sui tights; Aldo 'Doiley' boots (here) |
When I saw this tweed jacket online on H&M, I was skeptical about it fitting me. You know, I have long arms and wide shoulders. Nothing remotely blazer-like at H&M fits me- the sleeves are always 5 inches too short and the shoulders not wide enough to suit my small waist. But I'm so glad I went to the store to try it on because the size 4 fit like a dream! It had ample sleeve length and slight shoulder padding that allowed for roomier shoulders. I was pleased. Though it was $59 Canadian, I had a $10 coupon off $50 (or $20 off $100+) which I thought made it worth it. Go to the end of the post to find the coupon!

Here you go! Just print it out, hand it to the cashier, and you're done like dinner. They apply the coupon by taking $10 or $20 off one item. The good thing is that if your item is less than $50 (like a $20 shirt), buy some other items to make it $50, then ensure they apply the discount to the item you want, and return the rest. They don't take off the discount! So your shirt would be $10 in the end :)
Apologies to my international readers, the coupon is for Canadian stores only~
Nice jacket!
ReplyDeleteWow. Your legs are like...a mile long! The jacket looks good, but looks amazing on you. You go girl!

Ah, I have the same issues with long arms. -_- I like how the shoes complete your outfit! Would you wear those to the office though? I'm still contemplating about similar boots I have.

ReplyDeleteThe boots? I've worn them to my office multiple times! I think they're work appropriate with the right outfit. Of course, I wouldn't wear such short shorts. Probably switch to my black J brand pants instead.
ReplyDeleteHehe, thanks Honey!

ReplyDeleteI love that you paired your tweed with edgier harder things like the leather shorts and the McQ scarf. I might have to steal your style and buy those leather shorts! I have a pair from Forever21 but they don't fit me right and yours look amazing. Love the fit on them and the look.

I fall in love with those boots every time I see them <3 I love the tweed too and Dharma and Greg LOL. Old sitcoms were the best. I only wear the hydra dew mask because it spread like moisturizer and I can sleep with it on but otherwise I don't use any other masks either!
ReplyDeleteI love this combination! I never would have thought of it but it looks fantastic!

ReplyDeleteI already watch Sherlock (of course) I love it. Moffat's not my favorite writer but I can't get enough of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
Wooo Sherlock! I love Martin Freeman. He's such a great actor! Benedict Cumberbatch totally just makes me feel awkward when I watch him, lol.

ReplyDeleteAw, so sweet. Thanks for following!
ReplyDeleteI love the tweed blazers that are coming out in stores. I usually shy away from there for I always fear I'll look to "lady-like" and proper. You styled this perfectly to give it some edge.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the coupon. May just have to use that this month!
