LV & Fox Tails

I've always loved animals.

No, I'm not talking about pets... I'm talking about leather and fur.
Leather shoes, sheepskin boots, fur vests, you name it!~ ^________^

Since fashionistas are more conscious of the origins of real fur nowadays, more people are opting for faux fur choices. Though it doesn't look and feel as nice as real fur, at least you won't get peta freaks at your neck.

My faux fur of choice recently is this nice fox tail :)
It really makes my LV damier speedy 30 (which everyone and their mom has) more unique!

My Designer Denim Collection (Pic Heavy)

I hope you're prepared because this is going to be a giant post with LOTS of pictures.
I have over 40 pairs of designer denim and I took pictures of *almost* every pair (couldn't find some.. ahah~).

I'm including my measurements for those of you who are looking for fit information on any pairs I have listed.

My denim collection ranges from sizes 23-26 because fit depends on brand, cut, wash and stretch.
I am 5'8", 120lbs. I have an inseam of 34" and I am a TTS 24. I measure 32", 24.5", 36".
Hope that helps!

Now, on to the denim. The brand - size - cut - wash are listed before the pictures.

Lace LBD and Denim Preview

I went to a friend's birthday dinner last night~ I decided to break my new lace little black dress out for a spin!

I got this at Foreign Exchange at the Citadel Outlets in LA this summer on a side trip of off Disneyland. Because I'm on the smaller side, I just LOVE that it's made out of stretchy material because the fit is just hip-hugging heaven! It's also not too short - which is a common problem on me because I'm tall - so I'm very glad that it comes just a few inches above the knee. The back of the dress is a flattering V-shape into the hidden zipper. To top it off, it's entirely lined which is an instant plus in my books.

At $35, this was a good buy for a great fit :)

Seychelle Booties and Thrifty-ness

One thing that's really missing from my wardrobe is a nice staple pair of booties. I have yet to find one that doesn't look ridiculous and elfish on me. Often times I find they can shorten the look of your legs too if the bootie goes past the ankle. But I'm on the lookout to find one that will fit nicely with my wardrobe and won't cut my legs short.

I stumbled upon this pair of Seychelles, called the Gothic Bootie.
This bootie features a 1/2-inch platform and 3.5-inch heel, with leather upper (my fav!) and a rubber sole. The front strap also snaps in with a button.

What I really like about this boot is that though it comes higher at the back of your heel, the front is low until just above the strap. This leaves your legs looking longer than booties that just across your ankle. I really don't mind the elfy-ness of this one. It's kinda cute.

Finding the Perfect Trench Coat

Living in rainy Vancouver, the MUST-have coat of every season is the Classic Trench.
Of course, everyone would love to get a Burberry one, since they practically made the trench coat famous, but at over $1000 per jacket, it's just not economically feasible.

The one I have is by Massimo Dutti, a Spanish company. I picked it up when I was in Barcelona this summer for 120 €, which turned out to be $165 CAD at the time. A pretty good price for a quality coat.

How do you know if your purchase is worth the money? These are some of my personal tips on finding that perfect trench coat.

Cheap Hair Essentials on Ebay

I love bobby pins. But no matter how many I buy, I end up losing them.

I'm not usually forgetful about events and work, but I'm SUPER forgetful about THINGS. I can't remember how many times I've forgotten my phone at a restaurant, at someone's house, or at home.

Anyway, so I was down to my last bobby pin- which I've been carefully making sure to put in the same spot after I use it so I don't lose it!!- and I figured I should go get some more instead of treating that last one like gold.

When I got to the store I was shocked! $5 for a pack of 10!! HOW are they that expensive for damn bobby pins? It's bent metal! Aigoo.. I didn't want to spend $0.50 per bobby pin and I knew there would be a cheaper solution, so I left the store. Then...

I rediscovered eBay.

I used to be an avid eBay buying/seller for a looooong time until last year, when I decided I should stop buying expensive bags and go on a shopping hiatus because I needed to save money. Yes, that meant no online shopping (THE HORROR), and only buying things that I needed in person at the store. The whole saving money thing still stands, but I've been browsing eBay in the odd hours of the night lately (no job and no school makes vonnie a night crawler...) for cheapo necessities to buy.

Here are some hair essentials I've found on eBay that are a million times cheaper than retail stores :)
You can click on the link or on the picture and it'll take you to the eBay page~

Mustard and Leopard

Going out with the girl's tonight~

I've been really liking mustard colours for fall. I didn't think it would match with my skintone because I'm already so yellow, but it does! Leopard tights are also one of my favourites. It's just so cute ^___^!

I'm also bringing my trench but it's not pictured here :( I was too damn lazy to go grab it from the downstairs coats closet before taking a picture ahaha~

L'Oreal's Voluminous Million Lashes: Review

While browsing Superstore's cosmetic section, I came across the L'Oreal's mascara stand.
I stopped to take a look because I was in need of a new mascara to use after I had run out of the Missha Style 3D (which I liked~). I was drawn to the Voluminous Million Lashes mascara immediately because it came bundled with a Voluminous eyeliner! BUY ONE GET ONE? SCORE! To top it off it was only $10.99 for both so of course I had to give it a try- what can I lose with 2 products for under $11?

The Voluminous Million Lashes came in 4 colours: Black, Carbon Black, Blackest Black, and Waterproof. I chose Waterproof because of the upcoming rainy autumn Vancouver weather.

Here are some pictures of the mascara & eyeliner:

Comic Book Nails. Bam!

I'm finally starting a blog. Yay~
I should have done it a long time ago, and after some urging from my fashion forum friends here I am.

I had some time today and decided to do my nails!
They're all short though because after playing a game of bowling last week with long nails, I broke a couple of them and cut them all short :( I need to find something to make them stronger so they don't break as often~

Using julieg718's youtube video on comic book nails, I decided to do that same using different colours and batman onomatopoeia~

Here's the outcome!
(Thanks to Eeyore for letting me use him as a prop , ahaha~)

Right Hand - BONK! OoH, SNAP, OW! #@!
Left Hand - BAM! POW, ZAP, UGH! #@!
