Blatant Design Copying

I didn't know what else to name this post.

I'm tired of seeing brands copying another brand's designs!
I went into Danier the other day to look at their leather jackets, and what did I see?

Yeah, that's right. Danier copied Balenciaga.

I mean, c'mon. The original Balenciaga Giant City is completely iconic.
This Danier bag copied Balenciaga down to every detail, and then added it's own fugly frilly edging.
They didn't just copy the giant city, they had to copy the envelope and the Giant Money too!

This is blatent brand copying.
It's not something like a white t-shirt that every brand has... it's an obvious mock of a designer label.
I'm disappointed in you, Danier.
I don't know what else to say.

*sigh

  1. bleck! u can just tell by the leather in the photo that's it's so off already with it's extra plasticy sheen. Fashion fail!

  2. Oh gosh why would they do that?! Just absolutely blech, yuck, no! I'm sure Danier could come up with their own beautiful designs, why copy such an iconic, gorgeous bag and make it everything but gorgeous? Agree with Kerri - fashion fail!

  3. Last year or the year before, Danier also had blatant rip-offs of the Mackage Jerri jackets but way less flattering. Awful.

  4. this doesn't come as a surprise. Do you not think that the very clothes you're wearing from Forever21 and H&M are not replicated designs from fashion houses? take a look around you, everything gets recycled in fashion.

  5. Yah, I see your point. Fashion gets recycled, yes, you're right.
